I've read lots of your posts. You have a lot of tech advice I think I'll need.
I really like your EX.

Whoa, I already called Dibs...well, on the wheels anywho.
And whats with the handle? I'm a little surprised that one hadn't already been taken...or considered.

Thanks!

That link explains it all! SD Truck Springs sells aftermarket springs that THEY CALL V code, U code, X code etc, but fall short of the Ford OEM specs. For example their X codes are rated at 5260lbs as opposed to OEM V codes at 5200lbs, folks have bought their X codes and found that they actually got the improvements that should be expected by OEM V codes!
When discussing springs by their "code" letters the conversation should be limited to OEM springs only to keep it an apples to apples comparison. The aftermarket can give whatever name they want to their products. We do have a site sponsor here by the name of ATS springs (member's name is "Junior") and he has worked with a few members here to deliver exactly what they were looking for. Also check out Ford's pricing, there are a few discount dealer parts depts. that have good spring pricing but shipping may be high depending on your location. (fill in your location in your User CP
) And don't rule out used springs, our EX spring aren't really worn out, they were just really weak from the factory!
Ford was trying to sell the Ex to Soccer Moms so they under sprung it a little too much.
Checking my wheel locks tonight..........

At first I though Brent (EXv10) had changed his screen name.

You...and everyone else, Bud.

Now I have to remember to check those wheel locks next trip over!

Got the handle from my Wife & kids…don't know why

WE3ZS - Wow, good to know. I had no idea spring codes varied like that. I'll check with sponsors first.

Krazee Matt (no underscore
) - I saw pics of LivingLarge / Michael's Ex & its a beauty for sure.
Had worn out brake switch replaced by dealer, who flashed my engine / transmission software without my knowledge & not only wiped out my mild tune, but made my tuner unusable, so today I updated my tuner & re-registered it so I can hopefully re install the mild performance tune the P.O. had in it.
My Excursion is a Limited, but didn't have a rear dvd system, so I went by the shop today to see the installation of my rear hi def overhead dvd (with HDMI cable routed for convenience), license plate LED's, new multimedia stereo with GPS, satellite radio, dvd, multimedia, front & rear cameras, BluTooth, etc.
Anyone know the best way to secure the top plastic textured cover on the rear bumper? I noticed mine is very loose (could come off easily), and missing most of the plastic tabs that secure it to holes in the rear bumper.
I was thinking a good dose of Gorilla Glue might work, while I sit on the bumper & drink cold ones until the glue dries

They installed Satellite radio while they had it, too.
Feels a lot more like our Expedition EL Limited with it's Stereo / GPS / BluTooth / Sync / backup camera setup.
