Suspension Issues and questions

I have an 2004 Excursion Diesel 6.0L 4X4 185K miles

(Is there a place i can put my truck and info so i don't have to type it all the time)

What shots should I get so when i stop the truck doesn't bounce , for a lack of a better word, back and forth. I am looking for something that will give me a more solid ride but yet that its not a rock. Example, When i go over a speed bump it feels like bottoms out.. wasn't happening before but shocks probably wore out. I am not looking for stock ones. I would like after market ones...

Do i need to change springs???

I normally don't tow anything.

Lastly, does the 4x4 version of these truck have to be so high??

Any Ideas

I would put adjustable ranchos in the 9000. by turning a **** on each shock you can tailor the ride comfort. if that isn't good enough, you will have to go with v/b coded leaf springs front and back. You can also try using roadmaster overloads in the rear.

Yes, i believe when you get to 25 post you can add a signature line.

I also agree, Rancho 9000 xl's would be a good start, but with that many miles you probably should re-do your springs. This will raise the truck a couple inches and from your last statement I don't know if you would like that. The positive side is much better ride and handling.

Shocks will help, but you are probably bottoming out and need new springs too.
