I have 33x12.5 B.F.G. ATs' on my '91XLT.Like 'em alot.Good on the hi-way and great on the beaches I drive.Only thing I don't like is
they hydroplane. They have no grooves for channeling the water.
I've put about 35k on mine with agood amount of tread still left.
May switch brands next time. It's kind of nerve racking hitting a
puddle of water on the hi-way at 60+mph!

I am running 31" Michelin LTX A/T. They are a very dependable tire. They arent very aggressive (but can still get you where you want to go), little road noise, and superior sidewall strength. I only have 10K on them so far. I have run them in the past, and have gotten just about 55K out of them. You will pay more for Michelins in the short run, but you will be happy with the consistent performance right to the end. You can see a picture of the tread if you look in my user gallery (second picture).

I use the Bridgestone Dueler A/T and I do a lot of winter driving in the Sierras. I love skiing in fresh powder and often head out during a storm to be the first on the mountain. The Duelers have been excellent! No issues ever and I drive to damn fast according to most passengers.

On my Bronco I use Goodyear Wranglers 31x10.50-15s.They are what originally came on my Bronco from the factory(they were optional tires),so I decided to stick with them.

Consumer Reports rates the Wrangler among the worst and most expensive tires on the road.

I'm currently on Bridgestone Dueler AT 32x11.50R15s, but I like the Michelin LTX AT, also. Pirelli, Triumph, Big-O, Goodyear, & the Japanese brands won't get my money.

I had 33x12.50 BFG A/T's on my '85 Bronco. I have had BFG's on almost every vehicle I have ever owned. Thought they were just fine. When they wore out, I decided to try a set of Michelin LTX M/S tires on the old girl. I thought I had sold my Bronco and bought a Caddy. The tires were incredibly smooth, quiet and stable on the road. The did just as well off-road for what I do as the BFG's ever did. In my mind, they were an awesome set of tires.
On my current truck, I just slapped on a set of Big-O Big Foot A/T's. They are 100% better than the rotten Wild Country pieces of junk that were on it when I bought it. They are doing just fine in the month or so that I've had them, plus it's hard to beat the lifetime, full replacement hazard warranty.

I've also got the kumho powerguard MT's - 31". Awesome tire, great in mud, sand, etc., and - I've been doing a lot of highway driving, with no real wear. They do seem to be a bit shorter than 31", but they perfect combination of highway/mud/sand performance for me!

I have the 33X12.5 Parnelli Jones and they are the best tires I have ever had. I have had them 3 months and they are as quiet as the Michelin LTX tires I had on it and go anywhere. I have had BFG All terrains and Firestone Firehawk MT and ATS and the Parnelli Jones beat all of them hands down

Just to add - the kumho's aren't really a quiet tire - ok they're pretty noisy, & feel a little "square" at very low speeds on pavement. Call me crazy, but it's one of the things I like about them!

I'm running 32x11.50 Dunlop ATs. Not real aggressive but a pretty good tire. Gonna try the MTs next.

steve83,
The Japanese brand did get your money. Bridgestone is Japanese. Look on the side of your tire. There still the best on the market for most drivers in my opinion.

Unfortunately in tires, "Buy American" can be tricky. Yes, Bridgestone is a Japanese company, but the Dueler A/T's (excellent tire) I have are made in USA. BFG belongs to Michelin (French) and General belongs Continental (German). Pirelli bought out Armstrong. Dunlop started out as an English company, belonged to Sumitomo, and I think was sold recently to someone else, Goodyear? Korean tires are now becoming popular, I guess because of price.
