My Bronco came with a new set of BFG Long Trails, 31X10.5. They are quiet and handling is very good.
When Ford replaced the Firestones on my Ranger, they put on the Michelin LTX, 235 75 R15. I am very impressed with them and will probably buy more for either truck in the future.
I had BF Goodrich allterraint T/A 31x10.5x15's on my 78 bronco and they were great on the road ok off and when i sold the truck the tires had 45k on them with some meat left.
I now have mastercraft coursers ATS 31x10.5x15's on my 89 bronco, they're ok for the money, it had goodyear wrangler before didn't like them much
Hey I run the Goodyear Wrangler RT/S. they came with as stock, put 50K on first set; same tires for set 2, 45K, currently the third set is the same, I have 49K on these.. No complaints, quiet, smooth ride; but nothing to compare; tires run avout 110$ each after install, tax. Looking for new set in about 6 months..
The Michelin Cross Terrains are definately aimed at the "SUV" crowd. Those who think a 4 wheel drive vehicle is only intended for taking the kids to soccer practice, and going grocery shopping in the rain. My Dad replaced the factory Firestones on his (cough) Tahoe with the Cross Terrains. They are much better in the rain than the Firestones could ever dream of, but don't plan on doing ANY off-roading with them. On-road, they're great. Off-road, you might as well have slicks.
