Does anyone not tow anything with their SD?

Most of my miles are daily driving. I tow my equipment trailer 8 or so times a year and I prefer using an HD truck for that.
Plus this heavy truck is nice for any multi-hour trip, it doesn't get blown around by semi's and water on the road doesn't phase it much with quality tires.
I have thought about a car over the past year and will eventually get one but the cost of diesel is cheaper than two vehicles. My truck is my only vehicle, it's great to drive (aside from the 2011 transmission flaws in slow traffic) and I own 100% of it.
66,000 miles and I've never had the "drive to clean" message even as a daily driver.

I never tow anything but a small 12' utility and that only a few times a year. I haul only light loads. It is my daily driver.
I have absolutely no justification for a diesel. I have had, however, a desire to own a diesel truck all of my life. I am getting older and I finally decided it is now or never. It is a lot more expensive and care intensive than my F-150, but I love it!
Thank all of you for educating me about diesels. I had no idea but am enjoying learning.
There is no accounting for taste.

I have to be with the majority and say that the F350 is way overkill for my needs. An F150 would more than suffice for 98% of the time, but at the time of purchase it seemed that the F350 would be justified. Now it would be difficult to go back to a smaller, lighter truck with less torque Not to mention the kick in the behind a person takes in depreciation until 3-4 years has passed...
Essentially the F350 has become a highway princess, I have a Cummins for a work truck, and a Fusion for a runabout.
Happy New Year to all...

I have a couple of travel trailers, the largest is just over 30' long and 10,000 lbs and a dual axle utility trailer. The utility trailer gets used the most, the 2 travel trailers are on my retirement property most of the time, cause that is where I want to be.... So the truck is mostly driven to and from, a 400 mile trip each way with dogs and gear. I have a 2008 Escape for daily commute duty.
It is my 4th diesel, it all started with a Mercury Topaz diesel, then the Excursion with the 7.3 and then a F250 with a 6.7 and now the F350 with a 6.7. All great rigs.

Me too... Daily driver and in the warm months to drive to our vacation place a few hours away. I just like the F250/350/450 truck platform. After I owned one 6.7L my 2015 also needed to have this engine. You never get tired of 440hp/860pft. The interior is huge. Great to travel with (wife and two little dogs). In my opinion, if you can afford it, why not.
The F150 is too SUV/Car like for me. Kind of like a big old station wagon. (excluding the Ford Raptor) I like my truck to be a truck. I had a 2007 F150 5.4L. Nothing wrong with the truck but nothing great about it either. Dependable.
The F250 platform gets noticed. 6.7L is good on fuel.
I also think the 6.7L holds their value more than the 6.2L but I am no expert here. Just comments made by my dealers when I traded the 2011.
