Most likely it is a Kenne Bell or a Whipple head unit. When you do this you can easily get away with 8-9:1 pistons. Also are you going to stick with the 302 motor? If so, roller lifter versions are super cheap to pick up ($50 around here!) and that's what I'd do. Also I'd buy a set of forged I beam rods (similar to stock appearance) and depending on power levels a stock crank should be fine if you keep the RPMs down...otherwise look for a nodular iron one. Stronger than stock and still decently priced. Be sure to use all ARP hardware...cheap insurance.

Also use urethane motor mounts and a trans mount to limit deflection. That will keep everything inline. I'd upgrade U-Joints also.

I HIGHLY recommend ditching the FMU and going to some big ol' fuel injectors. Preferably 42lbs/hr ones. I'd get the MAF meter from Pro Flow as they will tune it to a supercharged application with 42lbs/hr injectors. That will give you the best control over the fueling. I'd get new low-pressure intank pumps and run an Aeromotive 11101 pump is good to 1300HP...a 255 inline won't support a blower.

Your stock ignition system is not up to par either. I'd run an MSD 6AL+BTM for pulling timing, TFI coil, quality wires, and some NGK plugs. Of course you'll need a good cap+rotor and look into the TFI module on the distributor too.

Your AOD is going to explode pretty quick when you toss that blower on top too. I have a nice list of what to get to make a very stout AOD for far less than the "over the shelf" ones...just e-mail me for details.

If you don't have a limited slip an Eaton is the best one made. Also I'd pick up a stud girdle to brace the rear axle. As long as you don't launch the truck bouncing off the rev limiter the stock axles are plenty strong.

Since those blowers are nonintercooled, I'd try to add an intercooler to it. Sure it will be a lot of work...but imagine running full ignition timing at 7-10psi vs severly retarded on hot air boost. I would think a big frount mounted one from a PowerStroke would provide a great core to work with.

Also Forced Induction likes a super freeflow exhaust. Flowmaster won't cut the mustard. Magnaflows or Borla or Dynomax are far superior. I'd look for 1.625"x2.5" headers at least. My Hookers are 1.5"x2.5" and the quality is good but they aren't great for big hopups. I read that the MAC longtubes will fit the truck, just their quality isn't the best.
