fuel pressure
So I had surgery and she sat for about 2months before I could get outside to start it back up I had a friend do some work on it for me now it won't run all he did was relocate the gas tank into the back for this is just a weekend toy and didn't want to puncture the tank but now after getting back out changing the oil redoing the plugs it won't start but on starter fluid I believe the high pressure pump is at fault I've gotten 30psi to 38 with No luck it chug a little but that's all any ideas?

I dont have any ideas but next time you post you might want to try using some punctuation when you stop one sentence and start another one because alot of us are old on here and we cant really read all that stuff when it runs together and I personally am not gonna try too hard either if you know what I mean

In an 88 model you still have a low pressure pump in the tank and a high pressure pump on the frame rail. You should be closer to 40-45 PSI. The symptoms sound like the high-pressure pump is being starved by a malfunctioning low-pressure pump. Not a guarantee but a place to start.
