I attract Osteoarthritis, big time.
I had a procedure called Arthroplasty done. Basically it's rebuilding the lower joint of the thumb. One bone was removed because it was too badly damaged. Then they went up my arm and removed some tendon, and used the tendon to re-attach the thumb to another bone, and act as a cushion. Now in a cast for four weeks until everything heals.

I did get Shari's Escape inspected this morning. I wasn't expecting to hear that it failed, it's an 08, and only has 54k on the clock. Everything is fine, but the Check engine light wouldn't come on. (HUH)
I had no idea that it didn't work, or that if that light not working would fail.
I checked with the bunch that installed that remote starter, and got the answer I was expecting, "We didn't do anything that would make that light not work". I don't drive that car unless I "Have too" and Shari would never notice that light out.
I got the cluster out and found out that it has LED lights that are soldered into the circuit board. Cant change those, and Ford quoted me $386 plus it would have to be programmed, for another $121. So we're up to a $500 Engine Light.
So I got out my multi meter and test light. And someplace in my wiggling fuses the Engine Light came on
So needless to say it was a quick ride back to get it re-inspected while things were working. Glad to see it pass and Shari can renew the tags on line...
