2.8 Wiring Harness compatibility
My 84 2.8 4x4 5 spd. needs a wiring harness. I have tried several online search sites with limited success.
Just went to one of my local yards. Will the engine wiring harness from a 85 2.8 2wd auto be compatible with mine?

No, there are subtle differences in the 83-84 2.8 V-6 TFI/EEC-II ign. system to the 85 2.8 V-6 model year, it could be done if you are able to read schematics, but for simplicity I would continue to look for a 83-84 2.8 wiring harness.
