Ok that may be to much excitement, however I like making my truck look better than it did. This truck looked pretty bad when I got it and every missing piece I replace makes it look better. I have great plans for this truck as it has been mistreated badly by the PO.

That's not too much excitement. There are two things to be excited about: your junkyard find and the truck is looking better. This is all good stuff. I'm partial to the body style for that generation of Ranger. Yours is coming along great.
I can relate. My '98 Explorer needed some new body parts such as front and rear bumpers, right front fender, header panel, grill, etc. The front bumper for some reason is unique for '98, although other years will physically fit. I scoured the yards for months and every time a '98 showed up, the bumper was gone before I could get it or the bumper was trashed. I was also waiting for an Explorer to show up with the same paint code. I found a '98 with the same paint code at a yard I had never been to before. The '98 was parked too close to the car on the right. I could barely open the door to get to the fender bolts. I was about to give up. I had to take off the door panel to get enough room to get at the bolts that held the fender on and use about 12 or 15 inches of socket extension. Then, it started raining and I still needed to get the header panel and front and rear bumpers. I was cold and soaked by the end, but I got everything I came for. Victory!!
Don't ever underestimate how many socket extensions you'll need when you go to the yard.
Months after that, I noticed several '98s at the yards closer to me and the front bumpers were still on them. Figures. The other lesson learned from this is to be patient. You'll eventually find what you need. I could have gotten a "more correct" bumper later if I had waited. Oh well.
Thanks mikeman, I looked for a while but I only ever found ones that were dented or if they were good the carriage bolts would round off in place. But this came off and I was happy. But it still was a fight, and I suffered a wound on my hand.
nice find! what's the story with the other ranger in the background??
oh yeah and no snow?? what's with that?
Thanks,
The other ranger is my stepdads. He's owned it since it was new. Still has the factory clutch in it. And as far a snow goes we haven't got that much yet.
