Ok maybe someone can help,i just recently had the clutch packing and other stuff changed in my transfer case, well the problem was when i would be going at a slow speed and turning the front end would make a rubbing draggin noise and kinda a grinding only after driving for a period of time well it does the dragging rubbing noise here and there and i have only had it back about a week can anyone else tell me what it could be
Does it have a limited slip front end? If so you might have forgotten to add limited slip additive. Usually two 8oz tubes are required for the bigger diffs. I assume the Expy has full time or auto locking hubs so you can't unlock the hubs to see if the rubbing noise goes away which might help localize the problem to the diff.
Course none of this has to do with the transfer case as far as I know so it might not be your problem. Just the symptoms you describe sound like LS additive to me. Another thought, you used the correct fluid for the transfer case? I think the case uses ATF not gear lube but they are all different so check the manual, same thing for the diff, some use ATF.
well the dealership was the one who changed the parts in the transfer case and something in the rear diff yes it has limited slip awd,its still does the rubbing dragging still here and there and i have had it back for a week and a half its been there four times for the same problem but have only changed parts twice, its a 2000 eddie bauer and where do you add the additive if the dealership did not
