looking at the parts chart, it appears that the most noticeable difference is the height of the radiator opening

I think the exception to the rule that you might have found is that it comes from an F450 and not the 250 or 350. The F-super duty's probably all came with the tall radiator for the extra cooling capabilities.

don't quote me on this lol but i think i read that the different rads/supports ended with the 8th gen trucks.
iirc (and again,im just going off memory here) all 9th gen diesel trucks (92-97 idi-psd) f250-350-350c&c-f450 all use the same large rads.there was no longer a short wide rad version.be it regardless if the truck was equipped with a/c or not.....again don't take my word for it though.just seem to recall reading this to be the case is all.
