reusing antifreeze

Can antifreeze be reused if i skim the sooty oily stuff off of it. Its sat in a bucket for a month and seemed to have seperated the combustion nasties. Probably less than 4k miles on it

Considering what the stuff costs, I'd do it. In fact I do, when I drain my truck I fill it up with new and use the old for my gassers.

I've done the same when it is in good shape, like if I need to drain something to fix it, but it was recently changed.

Coffee filters work to collect some of the junk that could have gotten in there. Skim what you can off the top, the filter it into clean containers. If you are careful and don't mix it up much when pouring, often times you can leave a bunch of the sediment in the bottom of the bucket.
