I just got my '73 together and running. I still need to get a radiator for it, but everything else is done and it moves under it's own power. (for 45 seconds at a time, anyway)
Here's the new 360 under the hood. I'll go back later and clean everything else up. I really needed to get it moveable first, so I didn't spend much time cleaning under the hood like I should have.
...but here's the cool part. Since all of my trucks are running now, I could get the whole fleet in front of the shop for a picture. ....somebody stop me before I get out of control with dents.
Alice starter her life a 79 2wd F150 1/2 ton, with 5 lug axles. Then he swapped under it a 79 F150 4x4 frame.
Then a while later swapped out the complete rear axle for a 8 lug D60 w/springs. And also swapped out the complete front steering knuckles for some 8 lugs ones to match the rear.
So it still has the F150 coil spring/radius arm front suspension and is close to begin a F250, at least I think that is the way he sees it. lol
I wonder where he got all those parts, like the 77 grill shell and inserts, the 4x4 running gear, the complete D60 with springs and all the front steering knuckle parts....
Being a member of the FTE Missouri chapter has is benefits for sure.
Only that would make sense. Half way between a 150 and a 250..Very Logical..
That is hilarious. What is just as sick is I completely get it.
I once put a 64 cab on a Jeep J3000(maybe 4000) truck 4x4 chassis once and another time I put an 86 F150 2wd cab and bed on a 77 150 chassis.
Making me wish I was closer to Missouri. I'd be a member for sure. In Michigan here the dents are getting fewer and farther between sightings.
I'm assuming you've supplied many friends with goodies. When I'm looking for that part I can't find, I'll be looking for ya
