Wow! I live in the southern US and have never had that happen.

no, I did not even try to start. I am waiting for the frost to come down. The wind was up to constant 30m/s that is around 67mph. for 2 days all the time...

I'd clean out the air intake, then start it.
a little bit of snow shouldn't hurt anything, and if it does then ya found a weakness that needs fixin'!
I drive through snow banks and drifts for fun out in the ice roads, and the engine bay looks like this...
