Just bought a kenwood gps . It was a demo at a store for 200 bucks. Reg price was 599. Called crutchfield got the dash kit for 15 bucks antenna kit for 10 . Plug in wiring harness was a 100 bucks and i didnt need the steering wheel control . But they had that also . They also sent install instructions
Had warm weather today and installed my kenwood . Very strait forward . Wiring was easy . Mounting was harder as there was not much in directions other than cutting off tabs on mount kit.
Anyone here install the Android head units? I'm looking at the double din units.
Which wiring harness did you need? Does steering wheel controls still work and did you need a separate harness for that?
I have a 2011 Ford F250. thanks
thanks!
There isn't any difference between and Android H/U or the regular name brand units as far as connections go.
You can use a wiring harness or tap directly into the factory wires. Depending on the configuration of your factory system there are a couple choices.
Best best is look online at the metra website and it will show you the options.
From what I have read online about these units, the steering wheel controls may or may not work with an adapter. Hopefully you'll get lucky and not need one.
