I have just ordered my rad support for my 1990 f150. I plan on taking this on as a project to save me a few $$ and just came here to get some insight on how I should tackle this. What tools do I need? Where do I start? Possibly instructions ? Thanks.

 

I have never been able to do it correctly without removing the fenders just because I didn't want to fu%# anything up in the looks department, when I did it on my 89 I used a scratch all marked where the fenders meet the rad support, started dismantling got the new support in then bolted her all back up all in all it took about 5 hours taking my time. On a pos truck I didn't care about it took me 2 hrs but that was a horse**** job on my part it was so bad the hood was out of alignment! Take your time and it will be a cake walk.

 

So what do I all need tools wise?

He did a front clip swap on a bronco, but the first half of it up to removing the rad support will get you where ya need.
