Haven't posted in a while, been working and finally got around to get my truck up and running, for now. But anyways a buddy of mine got a 98 Jeep XJ and I noticed the headlights are similar to many older (referring to bricknose era) bronco, explorer aftermarket headlights! And was wondering if anyone has ever seen, heard of, thought of or seen a swap like this? I think the main "center" light is basically the same as mine (mine are the 2 piece headlight and side amber light). Was just considering this project because other bricknose owners know the struggle of having *****ty headlights...
this was just asked recently ( a lot of times you'll see when searching.a very popular question) you'll no doubt find it just a page or two back.
a bit more of an update; you can swap the whole front clip from a 9th gen onto your 8th gen and then you've got loads of options and better aftermarket support.........the downside to that is,then you'll need paint.
Yeah, I've known that but appreciate the feedback. I just wanted to share what could be a possibility for us bricknose owners that don't have the money, patience, or resources for a front clip swap
Mine are plastic, I've cleaned them up with a 3m cleaner and they look new now. But I wish I had glass lenses, (if anyone knows where I can find some online, I'd appreciate it greatly) but with 9th gen fords they don't get a lot of power to the lights, and with money being short,I have get to get the relay upgrade from the LMC catalog. I've seen people post some links but I can't remember any..
ALSO I appreciate the suggestion but I can't stand those offroad lights, I've got a light bar instead, about to get another as well!
