Need help

My truck is a 1993 F350 with a jasper 460 engine. Hello! I'm new here, and need help trying to determine why my parking lights stay on even after I turn the lights out. I have to disconnect the battery. It's only the parking lights, and I can't turn them off while the truck is running either. I already replaced the plug directly behind the light switch.

You changed the switch, the plug going to the back of the switch, or both?

Hi yes, I replaced the big square receptacle "male and female ends" that are just behind the switch behind the dash.
