Mirror Meets Mailbox
So I am driving home one evening and strayed a bit too far to the right and my right mirror struck a mail box 
. It did of course scare the crap out of my better half in the passenger seat and she let me know it too. 
I pulled over and found the light dangling by the wires but still working so I just popped it back into the mirror assembly. In fact Everything still works including power swing, power extend, heat, and memory. The only problem is that the front top cover has a hole in in about 1.5 in in diameter and I think I can replace the cover. also just below the top cover, the main mirror assembly front has a hole in it. I put clear packing tape over the holes for now to keep water out till I determine what to do. While black duck tape might mitigate the damage, so far the only complete repair I can determine is between 500 and 1K to replace. Any suggestions?
