Front end knocking

I have a 2002 F150 Lariat with just barely over 100K. Recently when I reverse and then shift it into Drive and go forward there is a clunk sound coming from the front end passenger side I believe, it's worse and louder when I turn. There is also always a high pitched squeak as I drive coming from that side as well.
The CV boot has a tear in it and there is grease flung all over the wheel well. Could it be the CV joint is going bad or maybe a bearing? Hopefully nothing to do with the transmission.

It sounds like you need new CV joint. That grease that came out of the tear is there for a reason.

Yeah...it should not be ripped, but make sure the sway bar links on both ends are not broken. They are cheap and easy to do if so. The sway bar bangs around when one is broke.
