I am done!

Well after my Ex and I spun down the road earlier this year and getting her fixed 100% ....I have been hit twice knocking out all of the fixes!

Lady hit the front a little over a month ago wiping out the bumper. Insurance settled on the damage and I have not ordered a new RH bumper yet.

Well tonight the family and I were hit in the A$$ end by a POS woman that was busy texting and driving instead of paying attention to the stopped traffic! This nice lady pushed a very pleasant senior citizen into me at 35 MPH. That poor lady had a brand new equinox that is now an accordion! The lady who caused this was running late to a dinner party!

This incident took out the rear bumper, new hitch and some paint work. It also now seems to have an issue with the electrical system. The engine drops out electrically. I am so pi$$ed ATM I can not see straight!

Once I get the EX fixed I am going to sell it for what I owe on it and be done with it!

To add injury to insult the family and I were on the way to my youngest first reconciliation at church tonight!

Sorry to hear about the bad luck. I agree with Skip1970, trade it for another Excursion. In a 35 MPH collision, you need a bumper, hitch, and paint. The equinox sounds like it could be totaled. Consider that through all these wrecks your EX kept you safe, which is what's really important.

Maybe trade it in for a larger SUV? One that's easier to see on the road. Excursions are kinda like motorcycles.

Get an excursion painted flourescent pink.... they'll be sure to notice you then. These are such small vehicles that they easily blend in with everything so you must do your uttmost to make it noticed.

In all seriousness, I'm glad you and the family weren't injured. The Ex does a great job against the modern cars, just don't tangle with any dump trucks or transfers.

Sorry to hear about your terrible luck.

But selling off your Ex after a few incidents is a terrible idea IMHO. You're going to take a huge hit on resale value because of the accidents, and all of this can be repaired properly. You won't know the history behind any Excursion you replace it with, and you could be buying something with worse problems than yours.

It's just a vehicle, nothing more. The most important thing is the human cargo that rides around in it. Was everyone else okay?

Tom I know when I posted this last night I was not thinking clearly.

It has not been a good year for me. and In the last 45 days has gotten as worse as life as ever been for me. This was the icing on the cake or the 200 pounds of salt in my gaping wound.

The biggest thing is we missed an event that we worked with our 7 yr old to achieve. It was a one time thing. He got there but my 14 yr old and I ended up at the hospital. Wife and other 2 boys were sore today but they had no other issues. I always get checked out due to a neck surgery a few years ago.

A funny story about my 7 year old. When the EMT asked him if he was ok.....he paused and told the guy " no I am pissed! I am suppose to be at church and now I am late!"

So after looking the truck over today it needs the following:

Bumper w backup sensors and new brackets. (will do my best to get a matching one when I order the front.)

Hitch. It took the brunt of the impact.

Having a steering/tracking issue. Will have to have the frame and rear suspension looked at Saturday.

Sticking right rear barn door.

Brake pedal feels soft. It wasn't that way before.

and the kicker is I now have 1/2 inch of rocking in the driver seat.

Sorry to hear things have not been going well for you, and God knows a car accident doesn't help that. I'm glad that you guys weren't hurt, it sounds like it was quite a hit!

And it's statements like that why people are nervous about concealed carry.
