Frames
What's everyone's opinion of the frames under the 80 to 86 Broncos? Other than the Swiss cheese frames of 80 and 81, have any of you have any issues of frame breakage around the steering gear box? I've seen several f150's in this era with broken frames. What are your thoughts?

I know it was notorious problem on the 70s and 80s GM K series pickups, Blazers, and Suburbans. The steering box location on these era Fords is boxed, never seen one broke there. I have seen a couple of them broke by the front cab mounts probably from hard off road abuse. Otherwise they're pretty strong, later models were prone to rusting out...especially up here in midwest and northern states.
