HELLO EVERYONE, my Story about the 2012 Explorer is maybe a little Bit crasy.. PLEASE excuse my english.Hope EVERYONE will understand it.I am a german AND i Drive now an old 1994 Explorer, I ve Seen the new Explorer on american sites, I want to get it but it was to expensive for my bugget, i ve to say that I am a mechanic for cars,So i looked gor accident cars on the American market;I found there many broken ones for "real good prices "in auctions. So I get a 2012 Flood limeted. It comes to germany in real wet condition, nothing was working....a Bad deal. After a lot of elektical working many sellings on ebay I decide to buy another one!!!! With allover Crash that was a 2013 limeted for 2600 $ on that the costs for shipping, duties AND EVERYONE wants to get money...AND i have to say that Not realy everthing from the 2013 is the Same than in the 2012. BUT NOW ITS RUNNING,NEARLY EVERTHING WORKS AND IT DRIVES FANTASTICAL. AND now the the QUESTION : Why Ford doesnt sell this great car on the european market???(perhaps with a Diesel engine) Every One looks to my Explorer,Not to the other SUV its great looking THANKS Andre
Welcome Andre. I'm glad you came out OK. As to Ford selling the Explorer on the continent I'm guessing it's a little large and the gas mileage would be unacceptable over there???? I'm with you....it's a nice looking vehicle! Steve
Help me follow you?
you have a meshing of a couple of model years of the Explorer, is that right ?
Tell us more !
We opted to get one that was already perfect - we got a 2013 Sport that has stayed perfect !
(Well, my wife picked out the car, I just insisted on the engine !!!)
And after 2 years and nearly 40k miles I can tell you it has been perfect, MUCH more fun, comfort, size, handling, etc than the nice Audi Q5 we traded on it !
We have a "rule" - Pictures or it didn't happen so take some pictures of your new ride and post em up so we can see some of your good work and beautiful country !
