yeah i dunno how many were built but someone posted up info that showed he had a 9th gen (92-97) f350 (it might have even been a dually.i could be wrong on this part) with a 300 in it.
that may not make a quick truck but a good economy and fully capable rig just the same.if i couldn't get the diesel,id pick that engine second even though she'd be kinda slow, she'd be a good $ maker.
The 4.9 makes a peak of 150hp at 3200rpm.
GVWR is found on the drivers door calibration decal, you will also find the axle code and trans code there.. post that up and we can help you figure out what trans you have, the axle gear ratio and towing rating.
thanks for the replies brothers. Might be slow but not "Super Slow". The 300 is the best gas motor Ford ever made. I don't have the truck down here it was given to me and its in Winona,MS. Next time I go that way I ll check on the codes and stuff. Im not really sure what tranny is in it but with it being an f350 dually it should have one of the better ones. My grandfather gave it to me and I'm super excited. Its an efi inline 6. Next time I down there I will take pics and post on here for everyone to see.
Yea I agree fordf250hdxlt. I ve been wanting a 00-03 f350 dually, 4 door, automatic, 2wd with the 7.3l in it. Thats my dream truck. But this 89 f350 was given to me. Hell can't turn that down!
