I have a problem!!!!!
I have a 92 f-250 5.8L (351), my friend just got his Topaz, and unfortunetly I run a 0-60 time of about 15 seconds. Just last week I took out an old bed liner and winter weight (about 1000 lbs in total) I plan to advance my timing, if I knew what that ment or how to do it. After I figure that out I might do something with my exhust. On a tight budget I need to fix my acceleration problems, I must beat this Topaz. If he beats me I don't know what I'll do. So please help.

You should know if your truck is running bad by now......how long have you owned it ? Have you kept it in tune ? Also, the power to weight ratio of a truck and car is quite different....your truck could drag that car around but the car could out accelerate you at any given time...depending on the conditions.

Yeah I hear ya, I have owned my truck for about six months now, treated hard by it's other owner but maintained well. I don't know what I can do to cheeply gain preformance if somehting's wrong that might be better than haveing my only option to upgrade something. I just need to know some tuning options. Thanks for your help.
