Wow! I am impressed at how well preserved it is. It seems very much intact and original. I would like to see the suspension and underside. Heck, you can barely find a complete F1 for that price (yea I understand they have a larger following) It is a niche market to resell a large truck like that, so keep that in mind. I cant see paying anything less than that for a running driving working truck of its age in all honesty. Hopefully someone else with one of these can chime in.

Depends on what your plans for it would be? If your end goal is an F-1 street cruiser, then the answer would be no. If you're looking for a nice parade truck and you're into fire apparatus, then it might just be up your alley. What we don't know is how well it runs and drives (seller says "it runs and drives") and what it needs to be a safe and reliable driver. It's an F-8 Big Job truck, so parts will be harder to find and more expensive than your typical F-1. Fire trucks tend to sit around a while and many times will ultimately sell for half their asking price. But again, much depends on condition and driveability right now, not what it could be with 5K dumped into it.

Was there a 226 in there? Maybe for the pump?
