December Chat Thread

Hey everyone !!!
Sorry for the late thread, been out and about. This year has really went by pretty quick. The weather has been pretty mild lately but I think it will snow before Xmas gets here.

I have been looking at parts catalogs getting my list together for the stuff I need for the truck when I get home. I still have a while. Hope everyone is doing good !!

Sorry to hear about your loss of a good friend. At times that can be harder than losing a family member.Gods Speed. Bob

Thanks Bob, It was quite a shocker.

Wife says I need to get a newer truck when I get home next year. Pops truck is not going anywhere but does need work. I have been thinking about getting an F-150 lighting. I think the are totally BADD.

Sorry to hear that Bronco.

I was feeling like crud yesterday and I got my annual flu shot on top of that. Well that put me over the edge and I have been in bed most of the day. I hurt from coughing so much.

Feeling a little bit better today, still have congestion but better overall.

I have been browsing the National Parts Depot catalog for stuff I want to start getting for the old truck after Christmas. The carb, brakes and other stuff I can get from the local automotive parts store. I feel like a kid ordering my own Christmas presents!!!

Hey everybody !!!
Got the morning off and I slept in till 10, not normal for me. The office Keurig quit working Wow it's hard to believe it's less than 2 weeks till Christmas. I try to think of it as just another work day when I am gone. Hope everyone is good and talk to you soon !!!

Merry Christmas !!

I think I have finally decided on my initial parts buy for the old girl after the first of the year. New heater control cables, new window mechs, new lens's all the way around. Good thing is it will all be waiting for me when I get home.

Next thing will be new interior door panels, headliner panel and trim, the door pins for the interior light and a new lens for it. I have been looking at the chrome grills, grill cover and headlight cans, Do they look awesome!

Hey all !!!
Spent over 4 hrs last night browsing online catalogs and getting my list of parts together for the truck. The wife of one of the guys in the office sent him a fake 6 ft Christmas tree with all the decorations and he got on it in the mail today. We set it up in the office and it looks awesome.

Hey all !!

My list of parts is really growing fast. I think my wife is going to have a stroke when she takes a look at the list. I am sure I am not done yet because this was just the stuff I could think of off the top of my head. Hope everyone is doing great !!

Merry Christmas Chief, from the sound of it you are going to be very busy when you get back to civilization. Take care over there.

Everything is good, No complaints here.

I hope to take another R&R in a few months and while at home at least get her road worthy again. That way my wife can at least take it to the feed store, home depot, etc and I don't have to worry about her always trying to hook up the trailer to her vehicle every time she needs to get something big. I'm thinking street rod, the wife is thinking work truck, so it might end up somewhere in between like a rat rod. A solid running gear and interior but not a full show quality restoration. I want to drive it and enjoy it, not have a trailer queen.
