Stupid Door Ajar...
I have an 2007 F-350 SD. The vehicle sat for a few weeks & had a dead battery & I had no idea what caused it.
Come to find out the notorious gremlin for the door ajar dinger, dome light, & cargo light have made its way to my ride.
I used the WD-40 and that did not seem to work so I removed both switches.
It seemed to work because nothing came on but a few hours later I returned to my truck and the dinger, dome light, & cargo light were all doing their thing.
Seems like I need new switches but I'm a cheapskate & don't want to spend the money if I don't have to.
I'd pull a fuse but there is nothing is marked in the manual for the door stuff. Not sure cutting & twisting wires is the way to go especially since my wife does not want me to go all redneck on the truck.
Oh well, I guess I'll clean the dog snot outta the switches & put them back in hoping for the best.
