I HAVE A 99 F250 CREW CAB WITH A CONSTANT OPEN DOOR LIGHT ON THE DASH. BECAUSE OF THIS THE INTERIOR LIGHT STAYS ON ALL THE TIME AND I HAD TO PULL THE FUSE. WHERE ARE THE DOOR SWITCHES AND HOW DO I GET TO THEM? THERE ARE NO PUSH SWITCHES LIKE THE OLDER TRUCKS AND MY SERVICE MANUAL DOSN'T SHOW THEM. PLEASE HELP. THANKS, TIM

The switch that activates the lights and door ajar light is an intergral part of the latching mechanism. You'll have to remove the door panel to inspect for loose connections. I'm sure once you remove the panel there has to be some mechanical device on the mechanism that actuates a switch. That could be the culprit, also.

the dome light switches are on the door latch inside the door. will bet you several beers that is your problem. if you take thw seitches out and lub them they will work again but i would put new ones on if i had them off.

Same thing happened to my SD. Take a can of WD40 and spray liberally into ALL door latches. Open and close doors several times. This should do the trick. Has kept my "door is a jar" light out for the better part of a year. If this doesn't work, I've been told that replacing the switch is fairly easy and inexpensive. Try the WD40 trick first.

Same thing is happening to my dad's F-350 Crew. THe WD-40 trick doesn't work and the dealer stopped it once under warrenty. It started happening again so my dad took it back. They fixed it which worked for 2 days and then It's happening again. He's gonna take it back in and make them fix it soon.
