AOD Question

i have a 1984 F-150 ranger w/ aod tranny and a 351W. PRoblem is, the shifts seem WAAAAY too long. 1st gear is like 0-40, and the engine is revving very high before it shifts. How can i adjust the shift points. Someone once told me there is a vacuum modulator on the side of the tranny, but i dont see it. Isnt there supposed to be a vacuum line going to the tranny? Because if there is, i dont see one going down there. Thanks for any help.

AOD Question

AOD has no vacumn modulator. You may have a problem with the throttle valve linkage. Make sure it's properly adjusted.

AOD Question

A word of caution: If the truck is driven with the cable unhooked or out of adjustment it can fry you transmission real quick.
