Question tranny break-in?

Well, I finally fixed the problem with the clutch hydraulic system, and now have a brand new clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, hydraulic line, clutch assembly, and rebuilt tranny. The pedal feels solid now, and I can shift into gear A LOT easier than before but it still feels a little stiff trying to shift gears. Could this just be because everything is brand new and it needs to be broken in? I am sure hoping so.. any suggestions?

Thanks,
Aaron

New synchros will make the shifting stiffer. IMHO there is a break in and I'd change the tranny grease after a while.

By saying tranny grease, do you mean the tranny fluid? If so, how long do you think I should go before changing it?

Thanks again for your input,
Aaron

I use the term 'grease' because I'm lazy. Whatever lubricant is present in your tranny should be probably changed after some amount of break in.

I'd change it at 1000 miles and then again at 5K, but I am probably too agressive on this.

Does anyone else have a suggestion?
