I'm ready to install some under bumper LED backup lights. There are some older threads, but at the rate LEDs are progressing, I thought I'd see what's out there in 2014. I've had Rigid Dually's on other vehicles, but for back up lights, I think they are bit overkill and out of my current budget (I have Christmas shopping to do). What's the ticket? Where to mount 'em?
Depends on what your using them for. I snowplow so I have 4 rigid dually's and find it perfect amount of light in all conditions. There are plenty of cheaper led cube lights that would provide good light.
As for mounting - on my 08 there are some 3/4" holes in the bumper that I used large washers. The other set is mounted in holes of my trailer hitch. They can be mounted sideways. I have them connected to the upfitter switch.
