Some pretty impressive results - would like to see some of the other parameters, but not being a diesel tuning expert, it may be lost with me...
I am curious about the long-term viability of engines that are pushed past their designed limits like this. IE - it might be nice or fun to "push the button" every now and again, but do these engines really perform at that level long term when being pushed?
I know with my old motorhome (1999) that had a CAT3216B in it - it produced 275 HP and couple be chipped to build 500+ HP, but the cooling system would not support more than 400 HP and the engines would overheat and blow head gaskets. What are the limits or tolerances on these trucks today? Same for the transmission cooling systems since you know that torque convertor is going to be smoking hot...
I'm more or less an old school wrench when it comes to diesels.. I learned on the old 2 stroke Detroits we had in the Navy back in 1970-71 which were put into service in the 40's... I love where technology has taken diesels, but at the same time, they've made their control systems extremely complex. The basics will always be the same - and there's some comfort in that...

I was an Engineman (Diesel Mechanic) after I got hurt and retrained. I earned my Journeyman certificate there.. That was wayyyyy before there was ever an ASE program....

I've used those beads plenty. Use them on big tires 19.5-24.5s. They would work okay on these tires still. The main benefit to the beads is they are static, so they constantly keep balance even as the tires wear. I got them balanced up pretty well, though I have a couple of not perfectly round wheels in the back. There is no vibration now. Well, other then what the tires give based on the tread. I actually thought I'd swap them out right away expecting then to be way loud on the road, but they actually aren't that bad.
