Well I tend to keep pretty silent on the forum but Sometimes after reading my fathers way with words, I feel the need to post. It all started because I was on the hunt for a tailgate for my 49 F2 Im restoring. So I found this package deal on Craigslist for a 51 F3 and a 49 F6. I bought them based on the pictures. I can say it was definitely worth it. The 51 is solid but the motor came in many pieces which is fine, Just another flat head for my collection. The 49 was the diamond in the rough. It turns out that it has the 53 255 Mercury flat head in it and it runs damn near perfect. It has good rear end and a great cab. Now the dilemma is that the word parts truck doesn't exist in my vocabulary. So with this I will shift parts between 4 bonus builts to make well 4 complete bonus builts. hopefully the pictures will upload but that's the story. I'm sure my father will have more to write

So that is the $1500 tailgate? I always wanted to see an expensive piece like that!!! LOL
Jacked Up Ford, sorry I don't know your real name, it is good to have you respond on this forum. I didn't know Sam's son is a member here. It's good to have you aboard. Thanks for the pics. I love your Dad's fleet, as we can see 2 of them in the background of the one picture.
Washington State native, but my folks and all the ancestors are from Southeastern mass. My grandpa owned the ford agency in Wareham. I have always loved the contractor's trucks and the way they are taken care of. I did live in Massachusetts for seven years back in the late 60s and early 70s. Back then my father in law was superintendent of highways for Hingham Mass, so I did a lot of shotgun seat during snowplow operations. The dark green paint, the gold leaf lettering, silver rings on the split rims, maybe red wheels or bumpers.... You just had to be there to drink it in and appreciate the beauty of it all. Trucking in New England. No place else on earth where they get it like you guys do.

Jackedupford 666 from Boston?? by the way It took me all night to get
this picture thing to work how you do that so fast
yeh the ole man
Now that ya got the pic posting down, how about some
working truck pic's and vid's of your fleet. Now that would
be so awesome. Besides ya need the practice posting. Right?
I know ya do winter snow removal but what about summer?
Do you work your fleet year round? Construction? Yard work?
And like that? My dream is a tandem axle like 1950 F8,
With a big diesel Cummings and 18 speed log truck/rock
truck I could actually work up here once in a while. So cool.
Some of us are resigned to dreaming for a while yet. How's you Alaskan sized mug of wine treating you tonight? My wife is visiting her new grandson for a week, so maybe I get in an extra jar.

Just dreaming here is all.
Just check Sam's Gallery if you want to see more of his fleet. He has like 5 different albums with at least 4 pics in each one. Check it out!

Actually it's Black Velvet and Coke. I start about 11 AM. And I use a jar
and just refill it until the pain gets to where I can live with it. Than I clean
the house, eat and take a nap. And do it all over the next day. Surgery
soon I hope before Christmas. I can only hope this Dr can do a better job
than the last one.
I lied, only 10 AM here and already half done with the first jar. Going to
have to make a run for another half gallon I think.
Abe I checked out Sams pic's a few times. Awesome fleet.
I am so jealous.
