Top one is the 088, I have that one myself.

Don't know the second though. Edit: I see it is waste-gated so it's definitely the later turbo.

Yes, the second one is the 093, same as the factory turbo option but with a better down pipe.

093 is the newer style, regardless take downpipe to reputable exhaust shop and have one made, the rewards of this are endless, the factory dps are pinched and squished and very restrictive

Sounds a lot like a downpipe on a '94-'97 7.3

The 093 is the better turbo. Banks makes a down pipe upgrade but iirc the ATS version of the 093 had a DP that was just fine.

The factory 093 turbos have the squashed dp and smaller turbo outlet, but also say Ford Turbo on the air cleaner. The aftermarket 093 kit has the air cleaner in the picture, and has a 3", not squashed dp.

yeah ats doesn't offer anymore support.nothing more in production.i know the stock ats units didn't have the upgraded outlet.i was just wondering if the aftermarket 093's came with the updated outlet or not.
since you spoke of the 093 as universal in your comment (implying either one) i'll take it as a no.nether one of them came with the larger outlet.you had to upgrade it with either kit you had.
not to put words in your mouth lol correct me if i misunderstood.

From another member, I guess there were a couple different bolt patterns used on the outlet flange.
So that kit comes with a new turbo hot side shell to make sure the outlet flange will bolt up.

I have a couple turbos, the outlet flange I have will bolt to all of them just fine.
edit well i found this too in the same thread i pulled that from ^

The ATS aftermarket turbo came from ATS with the 3" outlet and a full sized 3" downpipe. So there is no point in getting the upgrade if you have the ATS aftermarket setup.
well this is what i would have guessed would be the case ^ surely someones got the kit and knows lol.
