Bolts up to the trans but the converter is different as are the mounts. A 460's HP depends a lot on what it comes out of... got a donor in mind?

There is no converter since it is a manual transmission, and on that note I don't know if that tranny can take the hp and torque a 460 is able to produce. Maybe somebody else will step in and tell us.

You can use the bellhousing & trans. The flywheel will bolt up but it's not balanced the same.

Make sure you check the Pilot bearing size! Especially if the 460 came out a car with an automatic tranny. The 429/460's had 3 different size pilot.

Measure the OD of the manual tranny shaft and the ID of the end of your crank!

why would you want to put a 3 speed behind a 460? i would look for a 4 speed donor trans from a big block and get the flywheel while you are there

That is not accurate since there is a bushing or bearing that will need to be installed in the crank for the input shaft to ride on.

Well, it is true in a sense because you will need to get the Correct bushing for your crankshaft.
