What are you searching for to make you see a 1999 IDI? Just for kicks I tried searching and came up with nothing. Unless you are, indeed, mistaking the 7.3 Powerstroke for an IDI...
321495646833 is the item number on evil bay, clearly an idi...anyhow...found me a builable core for 250 i was just curious on the 99....my next question and i am sure racin or mnb2 can answer, ats dont make the turbo upgrade any longer, i have a mill and welder at my disposal, could a person cut the elbow off the factory exhaust housing mill it put a 3" hole in it and weld a 3" say black iron sweep in it, for the upgrade, i ordered a new chra for it, i am only looking to achieve 200 rwhp maybe more, my goal is reliability, and mileage, i am dumping the 410 gear for a 355, i believe using 1st with the zf5 i should have no problem getting it moving, also typ4 if your reading this pm me i need one of your cams, and i think im gonna run the stock turbo code ip cranked wide open and some b code injectors, going to have the up pipes ss and wrapped, that should get me close
that is a 1990 engine. the 99 in the title is a typo. if you read the description it says 1990 in it. :
“7.3 V8 IH / Navistar Diesel engine. Applicable 1990 IH NONE Computer None Turbo engine. We test ”

Looks like that one has the sae 2/3 adapter, probably med duty use, bus or ih 3800 probably had a 545pos behind it
good catch on the bellhousing. i did not look at the pictures until you said that.
that is definitely an international truck or bus engine.
leece neville alternator, CDR off the passenger side valve cover, large air intake, large power steering reservoir, front and bellhousing motor mounts instead of side mounts, and only 130 to 170 HP ratings on the engine ID tag.
at least that is a 170 hp engine.

yup, international truck or bus pan.
Exhaust manifold is backwards from a truck application, too.
contrary to what some people say they did produce idi turbo vans, the DOD had a number of them. and there are several oil pans available for the Navistar engine. as there were stationary generators and pumps.
