hey guys, im not new to the site, but new to this section. any way i bought a new to me truck, and was looking around you guys were talking about the rims on the f 500 and bigger trucks some had been out lawed. how do i tell if mine are? the truck isnt home yet, but its a 1958 f600, looks like to me they have the removable lock ring on the rim, they ok or no? thanks
Welcome. Your fronts look fine. Back left maybe not. The kind with the outer side ring are generally still serviced if in good rust free/bend free shape. Some guys have to search out big truck or ag shops, but doable.
The back wheel pictured looks like a widow maker Firestone RH-5°. The below pics will help you decide whether the rears are or not. When you go after replacements I'd suggest finding Accuride #28157 tubeless 22.5" x 6.75" wheels. Same stud piloted 6 x 8.75" pattern and still pretty plentiful in yards. If you need to keep the rear tires you've got the locking ring/side ring style like you have on the front can still be found too. Stu
