Weird rocker arms
I bought a completely rebuilt rocker arm assembly on eBay some time ago, and just got around to unwrapping it to take some photos. Its supposed to be for my 223 with adjustable rockers. The ones on the shaft are adjustable, but the end that rides on the valve is an eliptical loop with a plunger that goes from the loop into the fulcrum point of the arm. Never have seen anything quite like this! Is this another of Ford's "better ideas", and will it work on any 223? Is it best left wrapped up on a shelf?

Weird rocker arms
Ford started using these in about 1960. they were called "zero lash rocker arms". If you don't like the sound of mech. lifters tapping, these were the things to use. Also with these, you did not have to adjust the tappets. Just set them when installed, and you were ready to go..
