here the deal. my 64' F-100 truck has give or take 6 months on brand new master brake cylinder, and both rear wheel cylinders. the front has brand new wheel cylinders and shoes. i have driven it under 20 miles since i installed the rear wheel cylinders and the master cylinder six months ago. i did the front about a week ago and everything worked fine until now. when i take it on a test drive usually the first time i hit the brakes it goes all the way to the floor and makes a slight grinding noise i can pump the brakes and usually it will catch but then it pulls to the right. if continue to pump the brakes after it catches it will go to the floor again then catch again. sometimes it will catch and release several times before it ether catches or goes to the floor. i thought maybe it was the right front wheel cylinder leaking, the brake fluid making the shoes sticky (happened once before) but near as i can tell the fluid level in the resevoir is unchanged. could it be the master? how does that explain the pull to the right. also the right brake drum was a lot hotter then the left after my last test drive. i havet torn the brakes apart yet but i not sure what to look for when i do. remember all the brake cylinders including the master and the front brake shoes have less then 20 miles on them but the master and the rear cylinders about six months old. im pretty sure it just a regular manuel hydraulic brakes system without any vacuum booster or anything. so thats my problem and i need help! thanks!
Did you bench bleed the master cylinder? You may have to do that then bleed your whole brake system again. I know I had to bleed my whole system after it sat for a few months while I was farting around with the new engine. I had a massive ammount of water build up inside my lines. NOTE: No pressure washing the fire wall without covering open brake lines. But it does sound like you didn't bleed the master before installation.
One more thing bleed the brakes farthest away from the master first. Sometimes if you don't have the shoes adjusted right it will pull harder on the side that is tighter.
I've seen this before. Check the left drum, If the self adjust cable comes off do to rust of not seated in the semi-circle tin thing the adjust can not adjust and fall all thus just bounce around in the drum. This would explain you to the floor as the wheel cyl just pushes the shoes out at the top and that if you pump the pedal fast enough it will catch up and pull to the side that is adjusted.
It happend to me last year while towing my racecar.
Thank god the wheel cyl did not POP the seals out from over extending.

It can be all the above posted stuff too.
