1992 Ranger 2.3L 2wd. I've had a problem w/the truck running rich. I think the engine is flooding when I shut it off. At times when hot, it won't start. If I unplug the inertia cut-off switch and start the engine, it burns the fuel off that is inside the engine. I can plug the inertia switch back in and the truck starts fine. It will always start when cold. Any ideas for the culprit? Would the fuel pressure regulator be involved? Is the Fuel Injection causing problems? Fuel pump going bad?
Thanks in advance!
p.s. - this is in addition to a starter problem (click click - I think its battery related), overheating problems that also causes the A/C to shut off intermittently, poor wheel alignment, engine burning oil, etc. etc. The flooding/inertia switch problem came before the starter problem. They are unrelated.
