Can we just not all agree that it's a little ignorant to put food in fuel? Seriously, problems (real or not) aside people are starving here in the US.... THE ****ING US! Were driving around on their empty stomachs!!! Just put the gas back the way it was, ****.
Go ahead and eat the corn that is used to make ethanol. I bet you won't take more than 1 bite....
Just saying ... 2 stroke engines can grenade after 1 or 2 tanks of e10 . I see it often . Carb fed engines that are not run on a regular basis have many fuel problems with ethi fuel . I see it often . I run E10 in my 78 on a regular basis . I have no real issues . I do notice a bit less power and a slight decrease in fuel mileage . I drive it daily and rarely tow anything . I only use real gas in my 53 and my 50's . But I run them much less often .
I ran E85 in my '00 Silverado for at least 50K miles, E30 in my supercharged Pontiac GTP, and 50% ethanol (half 87-octane gas with 15% ethanol and half E85) in my H3 Hummer and V-10 Excursion... and none of them are "flex-fuel" vehicles.
Good for you, I'm sure the crap burns good in my fire pit too. I'm not going to run the stuff in a vehicle I care about.
I had a lot of issues with my Jeep when I first got it because of the crap, at one point I couldn't even drive around the block without it dying. Had to replace 2 fuel pumps, toss the carb in the trash.... If it can cause issues in a old fuel system, it can cause issues in vehicles that are 10+ years old.

PS - It's absolute garbage
It is absolute garbage. Definatly won't run it in my small engines, or my vehicles. I don't have a issue putting it in someone else's tank though! Lmao.
Can we not all agree to disagree? I know we can't eat the "corn" they use to make this stuff out of, but they can use the fields they grow it in to grow better crops. I do know what I'm talking about, I'm just being shorthanded is all. There is no reason to mix things to make new fuel. If you can get my truck to run on 100% corn product without issues then I'm in no problem, but don't take my gasoline that works fine and add BS to it so you can make more money and destroy (or not if you disagree) my vehicle in the process.
I hear it takes more energy to produce than it puts out . So it makes no sense to even introduce it into our fuel supply chain .
That's true, it is a net loss of energy. Raises price of corn which is used to feed other livestock which is used to feed everyone. Meanwhile, it causes problems in every type of engine it is run in. There is no regulation on how much ethanol actually goes into the tanks, E10 aint necessarily E10 and usually isn't. It lowers fuel mileage, and because of that, it brings in more gas tax revenue for the govt due to more "gasoline" having to be used to cover the same distance. It's a sham. It sucks in every possible way. Demand pure gasoline.
I notice better mileage when I can get straight gas. Around here, the only place that sells 100% gas is a handful of marinas with a marine price.
Agreed it's a political scam and makes no sense for an energy policy. Of course, it IS the policy of our dear leaders.
It does cause problems in small engines that are infrequently run. Ethanol absorbs moisture and turns into goo in the fuel system. Thus the reason marinas carry straight gas when they can, boats don't like it at all.
