99 GEM

Hello, my 4x4 recently went out, and the diagnosis is a new GEM module. They wanted $700 for the part and installation. I did a little searching on the forums, and I was wondering what suggestions would be? I have no problem installing it myself. I was wondering if I needed a programmed one? where to get one? I think I saw a link on one of them for around $250. Anyway any help would be appreciated.

Truck = 99 F250 7.3L 200K on it. If you need more info feel free to ask.
