This doesn't look like a little passenger seat. It appears he used anot her 3rd row seat, added lap belts for the outer 2 seats. I was curious how the seat was mounted and how the seat belts tied into the original seat.
That looks good. Any pics on the lap belts added and the frame to mount to the floor?
Here are the added lap belts. The center lap belt is factory. The other two belts will come off when you remove all of the hardware from the bottom of the seat. I got the replacement belts from Summit Racing and they match pretty well. I had to drill holes on the ends of the seat frame to attach the end sections of the new belts. The inside sections of the new belts can be attached with the factory fasteners that hold the center belt.
I have a lot of pics (to include the method that I used to attach the seat to the body and how I did it. I was going to put it all together and post it if there was still any interest in how to do this. My seat is rock solid and does not/will not move unless I remove it. Thanks
Quite a while ago I thought I saw a 4th row seat added with the stock mount added in above the fuel tank so a additional 3rd row seat would mount in the cargo area. I've always been interested in this so we can ge as many of us in to go out on the beach or skiing.
1. How high your knees are since there is no lower section for your feet. This puts your head in striking distance of your knees, especially since there are no shoulder belts.
2. No headrests, so your head acts like a hammer and breaks the rear window.
3. The strength of the mounts and the sheer strength of the floor.
4. Any potential type of crush zone that was designed into the rear is now taken up with the 4th row.
5. The method of mounting the sub-par lap belts.
Metal gets torn and distorted in accidents and as much as I would like that 4th row, I won't risk lives for it.

I'm interested in more pics if you still have them.
Doesn't look like they do...looks like they are using the seat as the anchor for the belts.
Weight of the seat (~100lbs?) + the weight of the two kids in the seat ~100 - ~200 lbs?)...so let's say ~200 - ~300 lbs...65 mph to zero in an accident...that weight becomes what... ~13,000 - 19,500 lbs?
No laws requiring the company to do safety testing...no performance data on the metal used to make the seats...the reputation of that company (having AAA file an order to tell them to stop using them in their advertising)...
Sorry, I would never put my kids or anyone else's kids in those seats.
FYI, the factory seat belts are anchored to the factory seat frame and I copied that set-up.
Hi there
I love your addition of the 4th row I definitely want to to the same,I already spoke to someone who will actually install it for me
Just a few questions if you dont mind
1- I would love to do front facing however is it incredibly inconvenient getting to that back seat?
2- How do you go about purchasing the bench through ebay?Junk yards?
3- Would you post step by step instructions ? That would be so helpful
Thanks so much!
Jay

Welcome to FTE! Keep searching around here, I'm sure someone else has done it, or at a minimum talked about it. Be sure and introduce yourself, starting a new thread, and post up pics of your X! I'd maybe start a new thread regarding the 4th row topic, as folks who are around now may have more information as well.
FYI, if you click on a user name, you can see when the last time the user logged in was. The person that actually did the 4th row a couple posts above hasn't been around since that happened, which was several years ago. Not likely to get a response from them I wouldn't think (you may get lucky).
