dana 44 front axle problems

dana 44 front axle problems
I'm working on my 69 f250 dana 44 H.D. closed knuckle, drum brake front end. The passenger axle has way too much play. It'll slide in and out about 1 1/2" and it hits the center shaft in the case assembly. Any ideas what's wrong?
And what is a good replacement hub for the original Dualmatic? I can't find any aftermarket hubs. Is this design refered to as a "flange" hub?

I don't know what the cause is for the excess axle play. Mine has a little bit but not that much. You can get Warn Premium Hubs for it. They are spendy though. I don't know what the part # is but I probably still have it written down if you want it.
