Pulled the blower motor, pulled the core cover and everything around it out.
I saw nothing that looked problematic. Core was clean.
Put the blower back in and fired her up and ran it until it got warmed up.
At full blast, how much air should be flowing through the core? I get very little. Also the fins are cold on the left side and warm on the right.
The core does get very hot. The upper line to the firewall is untouchable. Extremely hot. The other is hot but I can leave my finger on it for about 10 seconds.
The blend door is working perfectly.
When I leave the cover off from the core, I get a good bit of hot air coming at me(my past heaters have gotten much hotter, but I could live with this temp). When I put the cover back on, the air out the vents is not that hot.
I did another core flush and did get some gunk out. Not a ton, but some.
If there's nothing external to indicate valve movement, you'd have to pull the hoses off and do a visual exam to be 100% sure. However, if all four hoses are HOT, the valve is open in my view.
At full blast, how much air should be flowing through the core?
If the blend door is in the proper position, almost all of the air from the blower should be flowing through the core.
Have you inspected or tested the blend door and the actuator?
