Every morning when i get in my 2011 F150 the brakes squeak? First is was only one or two resolutions but its getting worse and lasting longer? I had them checked when I had the tires rotated at 30,000 miles and the stealership said they rated an 8-10. The cleaned them but now the squeaking is lasting longer? Any ideas? The disappointing part was the shop manager said they all do it which I call BS.
Are your the originals? You could try coating the back of each pad with a light layer of brake grease or that anti-squeal gel. Good time to make sure everything is moving freely, too.
I'm in the same boat...and mine are brand new. Seems bizarre. It's not so much a squeak as it is a moaning creak. It just sounds terrible but everything checks out on quality of the pads and rotors.
All brakes make noise to some degree but in varying frequencies. When dust builds up and moisture collects when the brakes cool down you will hear noise.
If you are a DIY check the calipers for looseness or loose parts. Brake grease on the backs of the pad are a big help but will eventually wear out with dust/moisture.
My 09 Explorer makes loud noises with the brakes until they get warmed up. Both my vehicles are garaged when not in use. But dust still accumulates from normal wear and the road.
My F-150 hasn't started with brake noise. It only has 7500 miles on it.
When it's time, I'll be replacing with ceramic pads all around. They don't make noise. Oem are met a lick and these seem to be particularly bad for noise.
Thanks for all the replies. I am very pleased with my F150, bought it new in 2011 and now have 30000 trouble free miles. it pulls my 34 foot 5er great. I drove Dodge Rams for 18 years before trading my CTD for it and never had squealing brakes.
Mine started the dance near 60,000 miles at expressway speeds and when I inspected the front rotors they were full of eggshell heat cracks. Installed Diamond groved and slotted rotors on all 4 corners and presto new brakes and nary a sound. It's is like show room new now. Recommend them. 68,000 on it now.

Since the rotors showed heat cracks, any chance of Ford covering a piece of the bill? I probably won't wait that long to replace mine with ceramic pads.

I had squealing and creaking and had the brakes done and the noises continued until I realized it was a dry ball joint. I would try greasing them if you can get to them and see if it may help if you haven't thought of that already.
I always back in and pull out forward. I've never had any sounds moving forward. The other day my wife drove the truck and pulled in forward. The next day when I backed out it made a strange moaning noise for a couple feet then stopped. I took it to the dealer ship and they said my brakes are still good.
