I am referring to the vehicle display which gives the lean angles, front wheel turning degrees, side lean and such. I dig the power display to the wheels but wonder how far some of you have leaned to the side or gone up or down anything.
Thanks
I have had mine off-road but nothing radical yet. Probably the most radical would be on a boat ramp at low-tide. I will be heading to the coast this weekend and try to take a pic when I am retrieving the boat.
18 degrees (3:1) side slope is fairly safe. it might feel unsafe, and the back end of the truck might slide down the hill, but you won't roll over. (many county roads are 3:1)
14 degrees (4:1) side slope is VERY safe and is considered a "recoverable" slope. meaning if you exit the road you should be able to safely slow down and reenter the road. (all modern federally funded highways need to be 4:1)
i don't think i've tried anything steeper than 3:1. our trucks are 2wd so i don't get real brave beyond what looks familiar.
meborder put some good info there, and I probably titled this thread bad, should have said "Crazy 4x4" but bumping up to see if anyone wants to add anything else.
