I was interested in "dipping" my car as an easier alternative to painting but when I looked into it there's a LOT more work than I though and it's not all that cheap...
I'll be looking into what's involved in wrapping a car next.

Wraps are very expensive, especially when you get quality. I use a company called ProCal. They are in the Charlotte NC area and wrap most of the cars, haulers, etc in NASCAR.
I wrap part (about 2/3) of my company Kia Soul's and it costs about $2200 for non Reflective
And $3500 for Reflective
I havent had luck with the plasidip. If u just drive on asphalt its fine but if u touch gravel it comes off. And less coats are better. More u put especially on wheels the easier it comes off

All the black on my truck is Plastidip. I have a mile long gravel driveway and several trails on my property that I have to take to get back to my shooting range. The plastidip has held up great. Rims, moldings, badges, rocker panels, bumper, grill and a small amount on the headlights.

I do 4 coats, 15-20min between each coat. I wait about 30-40 between the 3rd and 4th coat to make sure it looks ok. I come back 2 hours after the 4th coat and see if any spots need touched up.
